Taqwa, beza sahaba dan kita

- Bila para sahaba diberitahu; " Ittaqillah (takutlah pada Allah)", mata mereka akan berlinangan air-mata. Tetapi hari ini, bila seseorang memberitahu kita; " Ittaqillah (takutlah kepada Allah)" , kita merasa itu suatu yang memperkecil-kecilkan kita.

Helvetica - huruf tanpa kait

Helvetica adalah rupa huruf tanpa kait terkenal yang dikembangkan tahun 1957 oleh perancang rupa huruf yang berasal dari Swiss, Max Miedinger bersama Eduard Hoffmann.

Dalam tipografi (ilmu yang mempelajari tulisan/huruf), huruf tanpa kait atau biasa disebut sebagai sans-serif adalah jenis huruf yang tidak memiliki kait pada bahagian hujung strokes. Kata sans, yang berasal dari bahasa Perancis, memiliki erti "tanpa", sedangkan serif adalah bahagian yang berbentuk kait dihujung strokes. Rupa huruf sans-serif dalam beberapa literatur tipografi juga sering disebut "Grotesque" (dalam bahasa Jerman disebut "grotesk") atau "Gothic".

Huruf tanpa kait mula terkenal pada awal abad ke-20 dan ketika ini, huruf tanpa kait sering digunakan sebagai teks pada penggunaan digital mahupun tampilan dilayar komputer, kerana tingkat legibility dan pembacaan yang cukup tinggi dibandingkan dengan huruf berkait. Pada penggunaan digital dan layar komputer resolusi rendah, kait pada huruf berkait sering kelihatan hilang atau pun terlalu besar, sehingga menggangu tingkat legibility dan pembacaan.

God summons humanity to investigate and reflect upon the heavens, the earth, mountains, stars, plants, seeds, animals, the alternation of the night and the day, the creation of man, the rain and many other created things. Examining these, man comes to recognize the artistry of God's creation in the world around him, and ultimately, to know our Creator, Who created the entire universe and everything in it from nothing.

"Science" offers a method by which the universe, and all the beings therein, may be examined to discover the artistry in God's creation, thereby communicating it to mankind. Religion, therefore, encourages science, adopting it as a tool by which to study the subtleties of God's creation. 

Religion not only encourages scientific study, but also permits that, supported by the truths revealed through Islam, scientific research be conclusive and expeditious. The reason being, that religion provides accurate and definitive answers as to how life and the universe came into being. As such, if initiated upon a proper foundation, research will reveal the truths regarding the origin of the universe and the organization of life, in the shortest time, and with minimum effort and energy. As stated by Albert Einstein, considered one of the greatest scientists of the 20th century, "science without religion is lame", which is to say, that science, unguided by religion, cannot proceed correctly, but rather, wastes much time in achieving certain results, and worse, is often inconclusive.

Scientific studies pursued by materialist scientists unable to see the truth has, particularly in the last two hundred years, certainly caused a considerable amount of time to be squandered, a great deal of research to be pursued in vain and millions of dollars to have been poured down the drain to no effect.

There is one fact that must be recognized clearly: science can achieve reliable results only if it adopts as its main objective the investigation of the signs of creation in the universe, and strives solely towards this end. Science may reach its ultimate goal in the shortest possible time only if it is pointed in the right direction, that is, if it is rightly guided.

Pause 3 -The Piltdown Man Hoax

In 1912, Charles Dawson assertes that he found a jawbone and cranial fragment in a pit in Piltdown, England and for more then 40 years, many scientific articles were written on "Piltdown man", many interpretations and drawing were made as the fossil was presented as important evidence for human evolution. Piltdown Man (Eoanthropus Dawsoni) was once thought to be a "missing link" between man and ape. The discovery was proven to be a deliberate hoax in 1953. It`s was obviously a deliberate hoax.

Piltdown Man consisted of two human skulls, an orangutan jaw, an elephant molar, a hippopotamus tooth, and a canine tooth from a chimpanzee. Sir Kenneth Oakley has determined the human skulls to be approximately 620 years old. They may have belonged to Ona Indians from Patagonia, as the skulls were unusually thick. Thick skulls are a common trait among Ona Indians. The orangutan jaw is around 500 years old, perhaps from Sarawak. The elephant molar is thought to be from Tunisia. The hippopotamus tooth is thought to have come from Malta or perhaps Sicily. The canine tooth belonged to a Pleistocene Chimpanzee. 

The Piltdown remains were purposefully scattered around a quarry in Piltdown, England, so that they could be "discovered" later as evidence for evolution and the development of man from ape. The skulls had been treated with acid. All of the fossil remains were stained with an iron sulfate solution. The canine tooth was painted brown and patched with bubble gum. The molars were filed down. The portion of the orangutan jaw that connected the jaw to its skull was carefully broken so as not to show evidence that this jaw did not belong to a human skull.

Piltdown Man was obviously a deliberate hoax. Upon critical investigation, the hoax was exposed very quickly. However, the "find" was not investigated properly until forty-years after the initial "discovery". This was due primarily to the excellent credentials held by the men who made the "discovery." Very few experts ever suspected fraud. It wasn't until 1949, when the fossils were dated using the fluorine absorption technique, that the authenticity of the "discovery" was called into question. It is true that the fluorine test was not developed until many years after the hoax. However, the file marks upon the teeth, and the fact that the "wear" was backward, would have been immediately obvious upon any inspection from the very beginning.

Namun 40 tahun kemudian, ia didapati suatu penipuan iaitu tengkorak insan disatukan dengan tengkorak haiwat. Sir Kenneth Oakley menyatakan, tengkorak tersebut hanyalah berusia 620 tahun dan tulang bahagian gigi bawah adalah berasal dari orang hutan. Penemuan ini benar-benar merupakan suatu peristiwa besar yang memalukan para saintis dan tercatit didalam sejarah insan. Dimana juga dalam tempoh ini, begitu ramai insan telah menjadi atheis lantaran mempercayai akan proses penipuan evolusi ini. Mungkinkah pendaratan insan kebulan yang menelan belanja 30 billion US diwaktunya, juga akan mengalami pendedahan penipuan seperti ini sekiranya didapati bahawa benar insan belum sampai kebulan?
